| Armoured Combat What is Medieval Armoured Combat, or Heavy Weapons? SCA Medieval Armoured Combat is our attempt to recreate a broad range of medieval fighting, from tournaments of Chivalry to large battles and melees. Using rattan swords instead of “live” steel, no SCA fighting is staged or choreographed, and the outcome of a list or battle is never pre-determined. The champion of an engagement is decided when one opponent acknowledges that the blow landed by his opponent was of sufficient force to have caused death. As we are recreating the Middle Ages, Medieval armoured combat attempts to uphold the knightly virtues of chivalry, honour and respect for ourselves and our opponents. Participants make or purchase their own armour, however, loaner equipment
can be made available for newcomers interested in trying out this martial
art. Times: Wednesdays 8:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Related Links:
